Outwitters for Mac

#1

I think the game would be great if brought to the Mac app store. Between expanding the audience to computer gamers and adding cross-play with iOS devices, the Outwitters community could see a healthy boost.

On the financial side of things–since Mac apps/IAP tend to sell for higher prices than their iOS counterparts, it could help the game make more money. The Mac app store doesn’t really have any killer hits that use Game Center, so the scene is ripe for a break out app.

Anyone else want to play the game on their computer?

That… actually sounds pretty sweet. Too bad I’m on PC, I wouldn’t benefit from such a thing.

#3

I’d download it.

#4

I’d buy a Mac just for this game :stuck_out_tongue:

Would that really be a better investment than releasing it on steam? Would it be easier to bring Outwitters to mac for some reason? If it’s equally easy to bring it to either one, I’d say steam would probably bring OML more money. It’s possible there’s something about the mac store that’s easier to do coming from an iPhone though. I wouldn’t know because I don’t have a mac.

that would be very cool. I thought about it as well but didn’t dare to bring it up yet. I’d definitely buy it and I agree that there is no real competition for a game like Outwitters in the app store.

My understanding of the iOS platform is that it’s relatively easy to port an iOS app over to Mac.

I would, without a doubt by it on Steam, to play it on my PC.

Steam is an interesting idea too–the reason I didn’t mention it is because there wouldn’t be a way to connect to iOS players and it would fragment the community. Could be cool to have PC-mac cross-play too though…

Fantastic idea.

#11

Great idea indeed. I would get it.

Isn’t hero’s academy across steam and iOS?

Yeah, but it’s not directly tied to GameCenter. Outwitters uses GameCenter to track your account.

Ive asked the devs before
One said that it wouldnt be as much of a “streach as android” but would still take time
Also there may be issues about the code formats(for instance, gameware scaleform may not be compatable, needing a sunstitute)
But, hey, i cant code, and it may bring $$$[hr]
100 rogues converted to mac, but said never to android

PC and Mac play
Mac and IOS play
Epic for community

This barrier could be broken down further if pubic servers for mac,pc and ios
