...Really? Isn't being 'sandally' implied by existing as a sandal?
(I dunno. It's not always true that being an X implies that one is Xly. For instance, does being a man imply that one is manly? I think the answer is no. It's at least conceivable that some sandals might be more or less sandally than typical sandals.)
(It's not guaranteed in all cases, but at least heavily implied and wouldn't be really needed as a qualifier except in specific circumstances.)
